Each print in the Pairs of Things series is a unique photo. To make the suite of works I selected fifteen items from my ongoing archive of found objects and combined them in pairs to produce the fifteen unique images. Each of the fifteen objects is used twice to make the fifteen pairs. Pairs of Things series was made specifically for the SNAP! auction but is related to Duly Noted, a 2013 project that consisted of many of these same images presented in a series of light boxes, displayed within the vitrine of the then recently-opened Louis Vuitton store in downtown Toronto. Pairs of Things is part of my ongoing interest in collecting, arranging and presenting found images and objects.
